Worship Wednesday: Here as in Heaven
Welcome to Worship Wednesday! While there are many forms of worship, I am so inspired by music. I feel like God can use songs and lyrics to speak to our hearts. These posts are things that God reveals to me in my time with Him. My hope is that you will be encouraged and blessed by what is shared here.
This week’s song is Here as in Heaven. We always say that this song pretty much sums up what our entire ministry is about. Coming and being in His presence. Our name is His Presence Ministry! We just show up, open our hearts and let Him in. We see this most in our Friday night Overflow gatherings. We have felt the atmosphere change because of the Lord’s presence, we have felt His love surround us, we have witnessed miracles because of it, we have walked away with a renewed spirit and the joy and peace that comes with being in His presence. We go in empty and come out overflowing!
It is unlike any experience I have ever had. Sometimes it’s humble and there’s only 10 of us and 5 of us are the worship band, but He still comes and He doesn’t hold back. “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matt 18:20
That is why I love H.P.M., why I love our Friday nights and why I am so thankful everyday that God plopped me into this group of people that have literally shifted the way I think about God, religion and the relationship we have available to us. The crazy thing is, it’s nothing radical. It’s simple. It is Jesus. When you stop trying to think through it and just experience being in His presence it’s faith changing!
“Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” 1 Corinthians 3:16 The Spirit of God is so easily accessible, it dwells in us! I encourage you to seek to live in His presence. Allow Him to change your atmosphere, overflow in your heart and you will be amazed at what will happen when you choose to dwell in His presence.
“You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.” Psalm 16:11
