Trust Him

And Jesus said to his disciples, "Truly, I say to you, only with difficulty will a rich person enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God." [Matthew 19:23-24]

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones. [Proverbs 3:5-8]

The angst you feel when you don't get what you want tends to be childish in nature, but it is common for all ages. We often find ourselves looking for ways to make our lives easier. The more we have, the less we are inclined to seek Him. You were gifted with the opportunity to choose your own ways, your very own possession of free will. He wanted you to choose Him. How easy it could be to build a robot that does exactly what you want it to say and do, but we are beings embedded with LOVE. Without love, we feel empty and alone. He knows emptiness... He knows loneliness... He made us in His image and our emotions are a reflection of His heartbeat for His children.

However, He says... "Do not react to your emotions, react to My love. Do not choose a path based on the predjudices of your lives, because the plans I have are not based on human understanding. You have been hurt. You have been let down. You have been told you're unworthy. But to Me... as your LOVE, your Father, your King... To Me, you are still the object of My affection. When the world refuses to love you, I love you. The more you try to make your life easy on your own, the more you blindly ignore Me and My affections. If you seek these earthly things, you will not know My love for you."
